Update 30.1.2019

Today both hardware and software were worked on. The first thing worked on and mostly completed was a line detection algorithm meant to be used on the Blast Off challenge. The algorithm takes in an image containing a straight line and can find where the line is.

Next, a basic prototype for a shooting mechanism was made using a couple screws, a 3D printed tube and elastic bands. The mechanism currently can shoot a single Nerf dart when the bands are pulled manually. However, the plan is to automate the shooting with a servo motor and hopefully fitting in a reloading mechanism as well.

We plan on attaching this mechanism on top of the robot only during the Space Invaders challenge. Tomorrow will probably be when the line detection algorithm can be turned into a line following algorithm.
